  I booked this hotel via an offer shown on Zootravel, when I checked the reviews there was a mixed bag but Id already booked, glad I did as the fuss some people make is not justified in my opinion.
  Room we stayed in was 110 which was I guess a family room as it had an adjoining room with 2 single beds in it and its own TV.
  The main bedroom has nice decor, double bed, flat TV, H/dryer etc ensuite bathroom was clean and sufficent shower was a little on the small size but water was hot and plentiful and of a good pressure. Clean towels every day rooms tided fully.
  Only a short walk to the nearby Fistral Bay, where all the surfers hang out (very cool), another 5 mins and your in Newquay so not so bad, did get a taxi back as the hotel is set on top of a hill and we didnt fancy the hike, £4 from the town center.
  Pool was in the basement and was very clean, warm and looked after, there was also a small sauna in the area which I didnt try really all in all very good. In the basement there was a pool table , table tennis and seating areas and two large Pasma TVs so you could watch your TV there if you wished, this also lead to an outdoor sitting area which was pleasent.
  Bar upstairs was well run and not that dear £5 for a pint & 1/2 lager, Friday & Saturday there was entertainment which was not bad.
  Staff were very pleasent and efficient.
  Meals were spot on, no frills but hot and tasty and not a bad selection to choose from.
  All in all for £40 a night DBB per person wecouldnt complain, great value and I would go again tomorrow!!
